60,000 Word Update

Sorry I have been I out of the picture for a while. I have been busy with family in town and writing, and have let my blog posting slide.

So here is the update – today I broke 60,000 words while writing. I believe Bonds That Break is now officially longer than Unbound. I still have a ways to go on this, but I’ve been having a lot of fun writing it. I do quite a bit of outlining so that I can have a plot that makes sense and moves forward, but even still, I am constantly discovering things while writing that take me completely by surprise. And then I wonder how I could have ever thought the books would work without them. I had another of those moments yesterday when I realized something about the Binder’s powers that I hadn’t known, but made several other pieces suddenly fit together perfectly.

That’s when I know my subconscious has been piecing together some good surprises for you. 🙂

I am guessing that this book will come in around 90,000 words. So, that means I am 2/3 done with it. But the good news is that the endings generally come faster than the beginnings.

I really can’t wait for you to read it. Don’t forget, if you haven’t read the first chapter, it is now available from the menu above. It is password protected and requires the passwords Bonds. I hope you enjoy it!
